The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum (FOWA) is a registered charity (293190) and a non-profit making company limited by guarantee registered in England (4965522). Our registered address is The Great Oak Hall, Westonbirt The National Arboretum, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8QS.

The charity’s purpose is to support the National Arboretum at Westonbirt in promoting public understanding of the crucial roles of trees to the environment and to society. We do this by increasing public enjoyment and understanding of the Arboretum, by running a membership scheme, by fundraising and by providing financial and practical support to the management of the Arboretum. The Charity particularly recognises both the importance of the Arboretum’s research and education in all fields relating to trees, and the Arboretum’s role in maintaining, and providing public access to, the historically important collection of trees at Westonbirt.

Westonbirt The National Arboretum is owned and managed by Forestry England. The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum is a separate and totally independent organisation. Responsibility for any act and/or omission in relation to the Arboretum and its management lie with Forestry England.
